Steak & Veg with Creamy Pepper Sauce

Craving a hearty meal without the fuss? This juicy Rump Steak with Crispy Potatoes and Pepper Sauce is your NEW go-to! Tender steak, golden air-fried potatoes, fresh broccoli, and a creamy, peppery sauce — all coming together for a feel-good feast that's ready in no time. Let’s get cooking!
Ingredients (Makes 1 serve)
- 150g rump steak
 - Steak seasoning (your choice of spice blend)
 - 2 white potatoes, chopped
 - 2 tsp olive oil
 - 80g broccoli, cut into florets
 
For the Sauce
- 1 tbsp finely diced onion
 - 1 tsp beef bone broth paste
 - 1 tbsp light cream cheese
 - ½ tsp peppercorns, crushed
 
Method
- Toss chopped potatoes in 1 tsp olive oil and seasoning of choice. Add to the air-fryer for 25–30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
 - While potatoes are cooking, season the rump steak generously on both sides.
 - Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your liking. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
 - Steam or microwave broccoli until tender.
 - For the sauce, sauté onion in the same pan used for the steak until soft. Stir in beef bone broth paste, cream cheese, and crushed peppercorns. Simmer until creamy, adding a splash of water if needed.
 - Serve sliced steak over roasted potatoes with broccoli on the side, drizzled in pepper sauce.
